Lockdown Epiphenies#2

Come mothers and fathers throughout the land ...

I have an artistic daughter. She usually has many activities throughout the day, including art classes and school art projects. During lock down her art classes were obviously cancelled, I figured I should research a little to give her something to do. A found a video of this artist who was making simple art projects. The materials she was using seems readily available ones and she was funny.

So I called my daughter and told her she should watch this video I have just found.

D tells me, "yes mumma she is my favorite youtuber, I have already done few of her DIY's. you want to see?"

Epipheny #1 : my 11 years old daughter has a favorite youtuber

Epipheny #2 : I am not completely sure what a youtuber is

Epipheny #3 : I have a vague idea what "DIY" is

Epipheny #4 : My daughter is really good at finding out ideas and making them her own. Her art projects ideas are both from her "favorite youtuber" and also very different

Epipheny #5 : I am not the guide and mentor of my my preteen daughter anymore

Epipheny #6 : your heart can fill up with happiness and break simultaneously

Lockdown Epiphenies/discoveries #1

Was "Lord of the rings" not a good movie?

Amazon's Lord Of The Rings Has Finalized Its Cast, And It's ...

I loved Lord of the rings when it came out. I loved the book and when the movie came out I was spellbound with Peter Jackson's larger than life view of middle earth.
White wizard riding down from east bringing the light with him gave me goosebumps.

So naturally I wanted to share this with my daughter. Scoffing at all Harry Potter, Avenger movies. Cause lets face it all of them ripped off LOTR shamelessly in so many places.

Lockdown finally gave us 12 hours to spend on this epic saga. And I finished watching my LOTR trilogy on TV, with a sinking feeling in my stomach. It bored me. The narration is not free flowing. Acting was average, other than the grand scenery and visual effects (which still holds us after almost 2 decades) there is nothing to advocate this movie.

I died a little from non-corona related complications.

first world problems

It has been raining for last two days.
Throughout the night these glorious lightening tear through the pitch dark night sky, and then comes the torrential rains.

The mornings are crisp, cool. Beautiful rain soaked breeze kisses my face. We spent first two days of this year where our AQI is actually in green.

Every tree around me are in full  bloom! Its a riot of red, white, yellow and pink! Even my vegetable garden is on full productivity mode.

And all I thought in the morning was, damn it! Of all the years, this is the year I was hoping for an early, brutal summer. May be that would have killed this covid-19 or whatever.

Aaah! to have first world problems while living in a third world country.
